On the street or the highway?
I would say 1 out of 3 cars, at least, where I live.

Constantly. I do not do so, and if I have to take or make a call, I find a safe place to pull off of the road to do so. I drove safely for a long time without having to communicate constantly and will continue to do so.

I would guess that nine out of ten drivers are on the phone while I am on the road....frightening to say the least.

I even have mixed thoughts on the subject. i've got seen some notably loopy using being finished with the aid of persons on cellular telephones, so i can savour the reason. however the comparable could be suggested for people ingesting and using... or using with young babies in the vehicle. Are we going to limit those distractions too? Banning cellular telephone use altogether seems severe to me. yet i do no longer know of any states that ban using cellular telephones with a head set or on speaker. That feels like a sensible compromise.

Everyday...
On both street and highway...

*My father is always talking on the cell phone while he drives! Sometimes it gets on my nerves!!!

Sometimes it's funny, cause it's business calls and he has some italians and spanish collaborators and it's funny when you hear them speak!! ;)

Every single day & night... I'd venture to say at least 80% of the people I see on the streets are on their phone.

Besides my wife (daily), probably about the same amount as you...and those are the ones with one hand on the wheel and one on the cellphone.

These folks seem to think that they can drive, turn and talk without problems.
Geez!
If they could see how poor their driving is when they are chatting!

live in So Cal and my guess would be 8 out of 10. don't even ask about texting... I usually get my co-pilot to make my calls for me if it's important enough.

yeah, atleast. And those are usually the ones that are driving in the passing lane, or making traffic mistakes - it ticks me off when someone cuts you off and then they act like they don't know why you're blowing at them - you look up and they're laughing on the phone - oblivious they've done anything wrong

Its not illegal where I live. Taxi drivers are doing it all the time and I have even seen tram and bus drivers at it. Scares me to death.

I would say 2 out of three where I live and it ticks me off cause they are concentrating on the conversation and not their driving . good luck and god bless.
