Why are americans homophobic?? Like in school (and I hear adults too) kids say "That's mad gay", or "You're so gay". Why say that......?? There's no point, unless we're a bunch of homophobics......

I've often wondered that myself. I hate hearing kids say that at school. It's BEYOND rude and it makes the person saying it look totally ignorant.

i totally agree. i have 2 brothers one is gay and one is not the one who is not is so homophobic it's not funny most people are afraid of what they don't understand. but what they don't understand is they are born that way, they can't help who they are anymore than a child that is born with no legs or arms and yet people treat them like an oddity as well. if people were more excepting and loving to all people regardless the world would be a much better place.

Homosexuality should not be tolerated period, no matter where you live. It's not that we're homophobic, we just think that being gay is wrong, and if stuff is wrong [like writing a five-page essay] we say it's gay.

I am actually not against homosexuality and I say "that's gay" all the time. If I was bashing homosexuality, I would say "I hate gays"

That's because those people are racists at heart. They can't openly bash minorities or Jews so they go after the only target they have left and that's the gays.
