what's your favorite 80s metal power ballad?

... and we have a (s)Laughter mention right off the bat; followed up with a Firehouse mention from my boy's favorite cook. I'm curious to see if anybody will pull out any of the obscure sh*t that only I seem to remember.

BTW, my personal favorite would be "In A Darkened Room" by Skid Row.

For some of the "metal" bands, power ballads were all they did. But a true metal band had that one song that the makers of the Bic lighter should have sponsored. these are my choices:
Every Rose Has It's Thorns
Winds Of change
High Enough
Alone Again
Is This Love
Love Of A Lifetime
God Gave Rock And Roll To You
I didn't list the bands because anyone who knows hair bands, should know who did them

Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone by Cinderella

They are My favorite Hair Metal Band
(It's a short list...lol)

Hmmm I don't really consider Ozzy to be Hair Metal but that's kool.

White Lion - When the Children Cry

This song provided me with the most comic relief. That has to count for something. Further proof that bad music exists at all times.

Ozzy Osbourne- Mama, I'm Coming Home
Cinderella- Don't Know What You Got (Til It's Gone)

I don't really know why, I'm not a big fan of either artist, but I just love these songs. You do NOT want to be in the car with me if they come on, cause I must sing them... loudly.

Wow, that's a tough call as I pretty much can't stand any power ballads. I'll say the one that irritates me the least (OK, this one's pretty good) is The Scorpion's Winds Of Change.
