the difference woud be in the teaching, it is more taken seriously then here. if you don't learn then you don't pass, they are farther ahead, for example a kid in second grade already knows his multiplications, division and adding and subtracting, right here, you are not that ahead. both nations have different things to offer to their students, it is just a matter of culture i guess.
