People who call Bush an idiot or moron feel they are empowered to make such judgment. Perhaps they have an inside track and know details most of us don't. Perhaps they are governors of states or CEO of large companies and know what it is like to lead huge organization. Perhaps, they are smart enough, they will be elected President of the US soon. Or, they are the simple minded, who pretend to be in the know to feel superior.
Also, there are those who believe in conspiracies. They are the same people who believe WWF wrestling is real and the moon landing a fake. "Bush does it all for oil" or "Cheney is behind it" is the mantra. If you make such a statement, please provide the proof so we can all benefit.

I think you have answered your own question. I also believe that Mr. Bush wanted to start democratizing the middle east. You need to go back, though, and look at what he actually said leading up to the war. It was about terrorism, Saddam's link to it...his link to WMD's, including nuclear weapons. He didn't tell congress he wanted to send a "crusade" of democracy...because if he had, he would never have gotten approval to do so. That's NOT what our military is for. He lied, and his administration lied, so that they could go into the middle east. They were inept, they were misinformed...but most egregiously, they were arrogant to the point of stupidity. They didn't, and still don't, understand the region. They sent our troops into harms way understaffed, under-armored, and underprepared. They did so with an arrogance that comes from a sense of monarchy, not democracy...and you can see that in their determination to turn the presidency into a position that is above the law...similarly to how Nixon felt. Nixon is quoted as saying that if the president does it, it's not against the law...and that's the way this administration works.
Tax cuts under Mr. Bush have been effective primarily for the very wealthy. Some studies show that the top 1% have gotten huge benefits, while the lower 60% have been minimally impacted. Check the site below for more data. Yes, the cuts are for everyone...but the resulting benefit is almost negligible in comparison to the damage done at local levels. Unfunded requirements from the Fed to the states have meant higher taxes at the local level across the board. The huge deficit we have, funded almost completely by foreign debt, is almost unfathomable. Mr. Bush seems to have forgotten his econ classes, if he attended any. When your costs go up, you can't reduce your income circle. And that's what he did.
I think the man is hated for a lot of reasons. It's too bad. I'm sure he's a great guy to live next door to, as long as you are fairly well to do. He's a poster child, though, for everything that can be wrong with America...over opinionated with little actual knowledge; arrogance that is surpassed only by his ignorance; the ugly american...we have the worst relations across the globe we have ever had...thanks to Mr. Bush. He and his administration are probably the only people who could take the good will that the world had towards the US after 9/11, and sour it completely, even turning allies against us.
Mr. Bush may not deserve hatred. I guess no body does. But when you are a man who believes it must be so if he says it's so; a man who doesn't let facts get in the way of his agenda; a man who puts his personal connections ahead of his duty to his country; a man who plays loose with the truth, and even looser with the lives of our soldiers...you can expect strong emotions. He'll probably go down as one of the worst presidents ever, if he doesn't end up creating a nuclear holocaust before he's out of office. He's beating the drum for Iran now...and we can't even protect our lunch in Afaganistan, let alone Iraq. I worry he's not stable.
Wow...I see a few folks think that we haven't had any pork spending in the 13 years since the Republican Revolution. Keep in mind, the Dems have been in very loose power since January....Nearly every dollar spent prior to that was on the Republican agenda...you can't have it both ways...the deficit BELONGS to Bush and the Republican congress that allowed it to happen. Calling names doesn't change the facts...but I know that it's been an effective tactic for Mr. Bush and his team.

Well, I have been around for a long time and have seen many presidents, and will just make a statement on what I have observed.
Bush, is absolutely without a doubt the worst president I have ever seen.
The "bad decision" on Iraq costs thousands of lives. But this is not the only issue.
You can take just about any issue, whether it be individual rights and privacy, the environment, energy policy, education, science, etc., and Bush scores an F on every one of them.
I am now going to be sweating it out to see if he attacks Iran.
And by the way, guess I am still waiting for the tax cut. If I got one it must have amounted to only a couple of dollars.
In reading some of the responses, it is amazing that some still think that Iraq was responsible for 9/11.
But anyway, the faster this guy gets out the better, and that is the way that the vast majority of Americans now feel. Check the polls.
I will end by not calling him a name, but just to say he is a very very bad president. His record speaks for itself.

First off, you must explain, in detail, why it was any of George's business to get rid of Saddam Hussein? Hussein was an absolute creep - but he was also the democratically-elected president of Iraq. There was NO connection between his government and bin Laden, the scumbag who directed the 9/11 attacks - even George has publicly admitted this. There were NO weapons of mass destruction in Iraq pre-war. Iraq was NOT planning, nor was the Iraqi military capable of, attacks on our country. Democratize the middle east? Saddam was democratically elected. The current president of Iran, whom George so dislikes, was democratically elected. However, the leaders of Afganistan and Pakistan, whom George praises as allies in the war on terror are dictators who were NOT democratically elected. What's all this crap about exporting democracy, then?
George is totally incompetent and so are all of his appointees. They couldn't get their heads out of their collective rectums long enough to shore up the levees in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, and once the storm wrecked that city, they have yet to get their act together. Thousands of residents of that city still have no place to go but those ghastly little FEMA trailers. And New Orleans isn't the last time they screwed up disaster relief - a primary task of government.
The economy is going to hades in a handbasket. Gas prices are going crazy, the dollar is sinking like lead shot, and the rest of the world is so pissed off at us that they're telling us to go to hades - and George is too stupid to realize we can't survive if the rest of the world washes it's hands of us.
How would you like it if your bank allowed me to peek at your financial records and your doctor let me look at your wife's medical records and your phone company let me listen in on all your phone calls? You'd be pretty mad, wouldn't you? So why aren't you mad that George insists that you have absolutely no right to privacy? Oh, that's right: you prattle "I got nothin' to hide!" The heck you don't! You just don't realize how badly you can be screwed over by having your private matters revealed. You wanna discussion? I've given you tons of matter to discuss. Your turn...

The US Constitution forbids starting wars for any reason, even for 'democatizing' other countries.
To fund the war, the US Treasury has been used up. Then, money was borrowed from China to give the tax cuts. Future taxpayers will have to pay back China. This is bad, especially if China stops sending goods to the US because of it, or declares war on us.
These are good reasons for Bush to be unpopular.

Strange how these liberal seething idiots don't hate Hillary for telling us same thing after looking at same intel.
In fact they will vote for her even though she voted for war and stated she will stay the course.
To answer your question--
People with an IQ under 60 are only capable of feeling two emotions. So while they love pooping their pants, they hate President Bush

Because he's a Republican. The ONLY thing dems want is power. They DON'T care about what is really good for the country. Get ready for fewer rights (guns etc.) AND higher taxes to fund more pointless pork.

Bush has never told us the truth about anything. he want even let the troops come home b/c he likes to hear about them dieing. its like it makes his day to hear that one or more of our troops have died. we won the war along time ago so why not go ahead and send them home. if he keeps on we want have anyone to send over there b/c we all would be dead. he is the most selfish president we have ever had. we need to get rid of him and put a democrate in there. bush doens't care about the american people at all all he cares about is money and getting us killed. bush needs to go over there and be killed. then we could make a national holiday out of it. also look at the gas prices whenever there was a democrate in office we always had low gas prices. so bush will always be hated no matter what and will go down as the most hated president ever.

they hate because they need to blame someone for their problems, besides themselves. they hate because they only hear soundbites and take it as gospel, even if fully clarified. bush has done a fine job given the landscape and i would say the same about any president who works for the american people and not his party. i would vote again for him. maybe laura will run in 2012'
