Does anybody have an idea of what an Actor's Letter of Recommendation to an Agent should say? I would really appreciate any sample since i have to give the draft to a producer friend to help me with this. Thank you.

first of all this should be a letter to a specific person who is an agent at a specific agency, a person who the producer knows and who knows the producer. Then all it needs to say is Dear Joe (whatever), I recommend that you take a look at so and so (You) who is a bright, new talent in our city. I had the pleasure of working with him on such and such (name of show), and I am sure he will be an asset to your agency. His resume and photo are enclosed.
Regards to your family (or say Hi to Mike (the head of the agency) (or some other pleasant familiarity), Pete (name of producer) ENCS.
Typed on the producer's letterhead. or handwritten on a pice of "from the desk of" type stationary.

I am not sure what you mean by a letter of recommendation, Are you recommending yourself? Just write a brief, pleasant but professional note saying that you are seeking representation, that you heard about their agency through..., and could we set up a meeting soon? Include your contact info on the letter, plus a resume and headshot. They get many letters, so don't go on and on, and don't do anything gimmicky like including a gift (agents HATE that). Let your photo and resume speak for itself.
