Michigan leads the nation in unemployment, number 2 isn't close. So, their female democrat canadian governor raised taxes. Democrats control everything in Michigan, so is it the republicans fault?

Ok, if it's all Bush's fault, why is it so much worse in Michigan than the rest of the country? By the way, there are auto plants all over the country, it's just that car companies don't want plants in Michigan, why not? Because the unions are so strong? Because Michigan has anti business taxes? You tell me?

Heading for a second state shutdown with the Democrats in major control. We are the country's poster child for socialism!
Must be president Bush's fault!
Business left the state!
Taxes going up again! I can't begin to tell you all the wrongs about Michigan and corruption. The last governor was bringing this state back, and he was a Republican.
On the other hand could it possibly be liberals?

Edit: There are many in this state who did not vote for Granholm for governor, so all of us are not stupid, it was the unions.

Thick is right. You don't know basic history. Jimmy Carter was a disaster as president. Ronald Reagan turned the economy around. His policies helped George H W Bush get elected. Clinton screwed up. He raised taxes and got a BJ. Near the end of his second term there was a recession George W Bush lowered taxes. By 2007 we had the lowest unemployment rate since WWII. We had more people working than ever before. We had the highest average wages ever. There was more money paid into the government in taxes than ever before. Look it up. Then Democrats took over Congress and things started going down hill. Obama came along and caused a flash flood.

Our lovely Gov. Adolph Jenny Granholm (who can't be President because she was born in Canada land of the socialist) and her evil henchmen decided to raise taxes on people who are lucky enough to have a job rather cut spending even though people are fleeing the State of Michigan because of worse than bad economic times

Everything is Bush's fault, where have you been? My son made a bad grade on his math test, that was Bush's fault, my daughter's car was totaled in a hit and run, that was Bush's fault. And yes, the state of Michigan is Bush's fault, too.

She needs to go back to Canada so Michigan can try to rebuild the shambles it has become. Michigan wasn't like this when Engler was governor.
