Being ignorant can help you avoid hard issues. Though, this can back fire and if you don't know what is happening, you can get hurt by not knowing.

Yes, ignorance is purely natural, ignorance comes from our need or ego of to being right, to be accepted, to be known, to be respected, to be honored of our reasoning/answer, of our belief/conscience/morality.
Ignorance usually stems from criticism/object opinions/doubtful messages..or what we hear like "I think, personally, he sucks" (But you disagree, so you have the need to support that reason, and give an objectionable message, instead of a peaceful encounter.)
Ignorance is also by if one person lacks the wisdom of discipline...or other aspects. So they attack verbally, or cyber verbally,
