I like Jackson (or Jaxon - but not Jaxson) Evan. I actually plan to name my baby (if it's a boy) Jackson Cole. I'm not fond of Ethan but that's only because I know an Ethan and it's just name association.
I completely understand why you asked this question. It's nice to have other people (adults preferably) to talk to. A little reassurance. In the end, you will name your child what you want. Not what "strangers" say. It's just nice to know what other people will say about a name before you name your child that. Good luck w/ your babies!!!

Gabriel Evan and Ethan Jackson sound much nicer. I don't care for the Jaxson spelling. I would go Jaxon or Jackson, but the "XS" thing is just silly and wrong looking, especially if you're going to spell Ethan normally.
You could also go with Gabriel Evan and Jackson Ethan. That way, the very similar names are their middle names.

To be honest, I prefer the middle names to the firsts, but Jackson and Ethan are fairly complimentary in terms of popularity and usage, so I do think they're fine for twins. ;)
I would, however, stick with the traditional Jackson spelling used above. Or at the very least, the trendier Jaxon form (though I'm not recommending it). "Jaxson" is simply an incorrect combination of the two, however, since the X already makes the "ks" blend. The "xs" is completely redundant and unnecessary, and generally comes across as quite ignorant (since most will assume the parents choosing it didn't even realize, or bother to look it up). Unless you plan on spelling Ethan Eethin, there's really no point to misspelling his brother's name.

I like both names, however, I do have to agree with those that have said that they prefer the traditional spelling of the first name - Jackson rather than Jaxson or Jaxon. I think the xs would be confusing for himself and for his teachers/friends, etc., in the future.
I do think that Jackson Evan and Ethan Gabriel are great names however.

Ethan Gabriel is a great name. In fact, it is *so* very lovely, that I'm surprised to see the inelegant spelling of Jaxson. Jackson is a far, far better choice.
If you're set on something more creative, then Jaxon would do. But there's no "xs" sound in English, so spelling it Jaxson is quite awkward. It makes me wonder if you want me to say Jakeson or something other than the name that (I believe) you intend for your son.
Best wishes.

I like Jackson Evan (I personally don't think the X looks very nice) and Ethan Gabriel is a great name. I think you've made 2 very nice choices, except for the spelling.

Not Jaxson! Jackson is the spelling that will be easy for him to live with. Jaxson looks like a gang member. Ethan Gabriel is awfully cutesy, could you let him have one sturdy masculine name? Just in case he wants to be a normal boy?

Love the names, although I prefer the traditional spelling of Jackson to 'Jaxson'. Either way, it's better than those poor kids whose parents gave them names that start with the same letter and/or sound the same!

My son is Jackson and I just love that name, Evan is a great name. Ethan is too popular right now, so I wouldn't use it. Gabriel is okay, Gabe...
I love "coolteam's answer. Go with that.
