How much should it cost to have my car door sprayed?

I'v just had a quote of £320 + £120 for a grey door to have the grey door sprayed black and then fitted on to my car. So it will total £420 to have a second hand doorsprayed and fitted. This seems a lot to me does anyone know how much it should cost.

To do a proper job, it may also be necessary to spray any adjoining panels like a fender and rear door or 1/4 panel to "blend" the color well. Otherwise, a door with fresh color will stand out like a sore thumb from the rest of the car. US costs would be roughly around 7-800.00 to paint, blend and install plus the price of the door...check around with local shops for different estimates and find out what they are going to do exactly.

I have worked on vehicles off and on, and you can't always judge a price at first glance. There might be some procedure involved that is not known to the average person. Removing and painting a door might seem like an easy task, but there might be hidden factors, like the hinges might need replacing, wiring in the door that might be a problem, speakers in the door, electronic mirrors, etc. Items might have to be removed from the door in order to paint it property, and then have to be replaced.

that's not bad really.especially if they include the door.there are factors though,what kind of car and the year will make a huge difference.
