It has been a moderate november in michigan around 50's during day and 30's at night. All of a sudden the lady bugs are all over the place. What does this mean ?

If they are on your house or in your house then they are Asian lady bugs. Asian lady bugs like to move inside for the winter and will create quite a problem for you if they make it indoors. they emit a stinky yellow substance that stains everything. The easiest way to get rid of them is to vacuum them up and dump them as soon as you can unless you want your vacuum to smell like old gym shoes. You can tell if they are the Asian lady bug because they come in different colors and two white spots on their heads.

im in nc and we have a bunch of lady bugs right now they were flying and landing on me as i left the house today...i dont know what it means but i do know they are usually out in the spring not the fall

It means they are looking for a place to hibernate for the winter. Sometimes they will go under the siding on your house, under rough bark on trees, etc. They do not really want to be indoors, if you find them inside, gently sweep them up and take them back out. You shouldn't destroy them they are predator beetles and one of the good guys. The warmer days may br bringing them out of hibernation for a time, as it gets colder they will go back.

Sptfyr is right. They are not lady bugs. I kill them on sight. I never touch a lady bug, but these I enjoy killing. They're all over my bathroom.

lady bugs are weird like that... they like migrate for the winter time and get settled in somewhere warm like in peoples houses.
