They often recommend one year, but there really is no justification for it. The exception would be if you had diabetes, heal slowly or take medications with steroids in them (slows healing).
The recommendation for women who did NOT have a c-section is 1-2 years. There is a lot of sense to that, but if you only plan to have one more baby, then go for it whenever you are ready.

it is adviseable to wait at least a year. There are many good reasons for this, such as, nerves need time to repair themselves so you don't end up with numbness, the uterus needs the healing time to prepare scar tissue which without it leaves you with a compromised or thin lining which may rupture in subsequent pregnancies jeopardizing the vitality of that fetus, muscles must have time to shrink so that they don't become too lax to support future pregnancies. Really it is a good idea to wait at least that year, for you, the baby you have now, and future babies. Good luck.

Your doctor will tell you to wait at least 6 weeks. Especially after being cut, you need to give your uterus time to fully heal so it does not rupture during your next pregnancy.
They say it takes a womans body 2 years to fully recover and replenish its mineral/vitamin/calcium storage. I would not try for another child for at least 1 year and that would give you about 2 years in between. You never want 2 kids in diapers and on bottles and pacifiers and such.

it depends they say it takes 1 full year to heal from a c-section in my case i had twin boys in july 2005 by c-section and got pregnant again 5 months later with another baby boy who was born vaginally in october 2006. consult your ob/gyn and give your self time to heal before you do cause i can tell you changing 3 pampers making 3 bottles and quieting 3 crying babies is hard all at one time. good luck and congratulations!

When my ex- had her c-section her doctor said no sex for 12 weeks, did your doctor say that to you. He also said that if we wanted to have another baby it is good to start as soon as the 12 week hiatus was over because her body is still in baby mode
