I remember a story about a philosopher who was working in an orchard when a friend stopped by. The friend asked, "If you knew that Jesus was returning at 7:00 PM today, what would you do with the rest of the day?"
The philosopher leaned on his shovel, wiped his brow, and said, "I'd finish planting these saplings."
Your question is similar. Shouldn't we make choices, moment by moment, that make the most of the life we have and contributes the most to the future? None of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
I would be tempted, though, to bring my son home from school early and have him work in the garden with me this afternoon. Short of that, I better get busy out in the garden, myself.
I like this question. Thanks for the reminder.

In worship of God and helping my family preparing for the end of our good times and the end of the good weather. There is no asteroid in prophecy that is going to destroy us so anything coming our way will be detrimental but not the killing rock we imagine.
So a lot would be spent on thermal heating, wind generators, large amounts of money would be spent on tempered glass in order to build a glass garden for the long winter.
I would take out loans to procure all goods required to last a decade at least. Guns would be a necessity, for hunting that is.And the house would get a complete makeover in the insulation department, with a new set of glass windows, tempered glass windows.
And through it all I would still worship God.
Until the beast is amongst us there is no fear of the end of our times, just a stronger fight to live properly with a disorganized population.
The long winter following something like that is going to really put a dent on our humanity. It will test us.
So I would be studiously preparing for the test.

Depending on how much time was left to say my goodbyes. I would make some quick phone calls to a few select family that live far away to tell them how much they meant in my life & how much I loved them.
Then I would rush to grab my hubby & 5 yr old DD & get to my oldest daughter as fast as possible. There we would huddle together reliving our memories as we shared the last moments of our lives together.
In our family whether we are saying goodbye in person, on the phone, or just our goodnight the last words we always hear from one another is "I love you".

It depends. If everyone else knew, then my freedom of movement would be nil, I'd stay inside and watch my dvd's. If I alone knew, I'd go back to where I was born, visit my parents at the cemetary, and just hang around the old neighborhood, till the end came.

I figure I won't have to worry about my reputation or std or pregnancy sooooooooo let's have it... Maybe i'll pass out from lack of energy and I wouldn't even feel tha asteroid!
If not that... well I would get sh**face drunk... + a side of illegal substances... never done it si i figure the best way to start it's when you know there is no tomorrow...

I would try to apologize to all the people I have hurt and would forgive the people that have hurt me. If I have some time left I would do the things that I always wanted to do but was unable to, I would have a good time.

I would spend my time diverting that disaster. The only way to tell if something is inevitable is by trying to resist it.
