How can I fix the way he dresses? Please somebody help me please fix this man!!?

Bottom line my bf dresses horrible. When we first met he dressed pretty decent. Now he takes absoulutley no pride in the way he looks. He will wear a pair of shoes until they literally fall apart by the threads. It's getting bad to the point where he wears shirts with big a** holes in them and cigarette burns and doesnt even care. I dont know what happened. He goes outside like a bum all the time and it's really not cute at all. Its not like he cant afford clothes and I'm not saying he has to have all this name brand stuff, but I just want to him to have some pride in the way hes look and present himself better. How can I get him to change without coming across as being mean?? Thank You...

Buy him a nice shirt or two, and tell him that you want to see him wearing them. Then when he does, do something he really likes to reward him. Basically, you're using psychology to improve his dressing habits. Do this a few times, and you'll have an effect, I bet.

Try subtly telling him how you feel. Don't be to forward or pressuring as if your forcing him to do anything. Try buying him some new clothes if hes a good boyfriend he'll wear so as not to hurt you.

And then when he goes out, hide all his nasty clothes.
If he asks, tell him he needs to dress more appropriately, since no one wants to see his a** when he grabs the morning paper.
