I think they do. I had 2 dogs and 1 of them passed away a few weeks ago. My boy dog wouldn't sit still when she passed, he kept pacing and going in and outside, and wouldn't go in the room she passed in until she was gone and layed away from everyone for a few days. I think he is/was sad and lonely. They grew up together. And when I and my mom cried, he was right there beside us trying to cuddle, he isn't the cuddling type. And on a brighter note, he gets excited for things, like treats and walks, excitement is a feeling.
I'm not a little kid, 23 yr old grown woman.

Yes they do. You can definitely notice if you really know the animal, but as an outsider it may be more difficult to tell how they are feeling at the moment.

Yes they do, and just like the first answer, they still have feelings though they can't communicate. You can tell in the eyes how they feel. As the ancient egyptians said, the eyes are the key to the soul.

Yes they do...The expression of emotions in animals raises many interesting and challenging questions . I think most of us love animals because they have feelings, and we are aware of these feelings when we interact with them; we don't tend to form especially close relationships with inanimate objects or even plants. Animal emotions attract us - the unbounded, gleeful joy, the benumbing grief and their zest for life...

Yes, definately. They can experience joy, despair, loneliness, depression, love, fear, & other emotions. I've known cats & rats who have shown obvious grief over the passing of a companion. I knew a mouse who was so terrified of humans that she'd squeeze her eyes shut before taking a treat from our fingers although her cage-mate obviously loved interacting with us. Our guinea pig is friends with our kitten-- the ability/desire for friendship is emotional.
I could go on & on about this.

I just called my mom in other country and I ask how is my dog doing. My mom told me that he was fine. My mom told me too that he was jealous because my mom play with her grand daughter(my niece) instead of him.
And also if my mom want to go out, he always waiting by the door because he wants to go with her.

Of course they do. Just because they can't communicate to us doesn't mean they don't.
