have I?

I've always been more mature (mentally) than my peers and it never really bothered me. When I was is grade school I didn't keep a large group of friends, and it was mostly because of the difference in maturity. I think its because of how I was raised and the circumstances that I grew up in that made me more mature, therefore i usually relate better to people similar to myself.

Only thing is, now that I'm 24 and everyone that meets me is still assuming I'm older because of how i carry myself (they usually guess 30). i'm getting a bit concerned.. when I'm 40 will I seem 60??

good question.. star for you.

I think there are a lot of things in life that have made me mature quickly. I am pretty much an open book, but at the same time there are a few big things about me that not too many people know. But getting married at 20, 2 kids by 25, the crap I've had to deal with from him, I think all that will cause a person to have to grow up fast.

I've always been more mature than the people my age. I think it just has to do with my personality in that I am always the one looking out for others, I always feel a responsibility to help so I have to be mature. Internally I think grew up way faster than schedule because of that sense of responsibility.

I'm still a giggly girl at heart though. ☆

I matured very very early, but have never really matured past the age of 25 or so. Or maybe 18. I'm 42 now and it's looking like it'll stay that way.

Yes and no.
When I was younger yes I do think I matured kinda quick some may say to quickly. But now that I am an adult I seem to be regressing back.
Guess I feel if I act young I will then feel young and therefor be young. Since everyone always told me you are only as old as you feel.

I matured VERY quickly. In fact, my boss thought I was 25, and I have been working for her for over a year, and I was dating her cousin. She said its because I acted more mature.

You know it's actually kind of funny as when I was younger say in my teenage years I was pretty mature for my age although I did have my immature moments as well but now as an adult I tend to be immature in certain ways as I am always looking to goof around. I guess I don't want to grow old too fast as I am only 29 years old for crying out loud.
