CIA ranks and nature of duties are not posted on web sites of CIA. In intelligence matters it is stupid to comment on intelligent people and their inteligence work. which in any case 90 % of is trash

I've not heard anyone pushing the position that she was "just a secretary".

She was a high level manager in the operations department, with special responsibility for Iraq as a deputy head of the JTFI.

What she was NOT, however, was a "covert agent".

She HAD been covert, in Athens from 1993 to 1997. Since her return to Langley, though, she'd been a listed CIA employee. By the time Novak wrote his column she was so open a CIA employee that she was the person that journalists would contact for the 'official' CIA line on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

At the time Novak wrote his column - pointing out that Wilson's trip to the Congo had been little more than a junket that his wife pulled some strings to get him on - *no-one* in Washington thought of it as "outing" Plame - everyone with any knowledge of the Iraq WMD investigations knew she was CIA - she even gave press briefings.

Hey blue man, shouldn't you be playing home-made percussion instruments and dancing around instead of writing silly questions?

Oh, if she was outed like you say why didn't they arrest someone and put them in jail for it? In fact the special prosecutor said no crime was committed. Just wondering.
