Okay i'm in Pre Algebra and i'm in 8th grade, but i take honors in all my other classes, and on my last report card i got all A's and one B.( in my spanish II class) Anyway last year i was in Transitions II for math. I got A's in the class for all four marking peroids and understood everything pretty well. Now in 8th grade, on my last report card i got a 95% percent in my math class and understand everything perfactly. So my point, is that when i'm in 9th grade i don't want to be in Algebra 1. I want to skip that course and go on to whenever is next, Algebra 2, i guess. Will they let me skip and go to Algebra 2? If i took an Algebra 1 course over the summer.

Also if you were in Algebra 1 in 8th grade, would you go to to Algebra 2 or Geometry?

In our schools, this is planned so I assume you have the same thing. Kids are allowed to take HS level courses in 7th and 8th and then take AP classes in Highschool. Talk to your counselor

I'd suggest taking Algebra 1 during the summer. The next course after that is Geometry, then Algebra 2/Trig.

It depends on where you go to school. Here in PA, you have to take Algebra 1 first and then you take Geometry before you can take Algebra 2. Other states are different. You'll have to talk to the person in charge of the class scheduling and ask them what the requirements are. Chances are, you probably will have to take Algebra 1 first.

If you were in Algebra 1 in 8th grade you would go to geometry, then Algebra 2, the Pre-Cal. That's how my school is set up. But trust me Algebra 2 is SO MUCH BETTER THEN GEOMETRY.

Unless you got the content of Algebra I somewhere else, then Algebra I needs to be a prerequisite to Algebra II. I am not doubting that you are a very intelligent, fast learner. However I am saying that in Algebra II have already learned the material in one.

I did that, yes they would, but you take Geometry not algebra 2. But it's always good to learn the basics.

no, you need to take algebra I first. But to get ahead, possibly you could take algebra II and geometry at the same time.
