How long is a can of dry gas good for if it hasn't been opened?

I found several containers in mom's unheated detached garage. They've probably been out there anywhere from 5 to 10 years. Would it be okay to put it in my gas tank?

it is alcohol, if it is liquid it is OK, now if it is contaminated do not use it, but otherwise, still sealed? It is OK

NO way! Don't put it in your tank. It has broken down and probably nothing but varnish. Take it to a hazardous waste disposal company. Call your city or county goverment to see if they have a drop off point.
