It's hard to say this being a liberal, but I think that this is where the downfall of the country began.

The movement gave women too much power in the most important entity in the world - the family home. If you go back and trace when the divorce rate started to rise, you can see that it coincides with women being given the upper-hand in the courts across the country.

Because of this children are now very likely to be raised without the strong leadership that a man provides and thereby fall into more negative situations because they lack the guidance of a strong male figure.

This in turn leads to an increase in kids dropping out of school, becoming teenage mothers, getting involved in crime, and a whole host of other ills that are now ravaging this society.

And it's all because women have too much power to be put in their place in nowadays.

Hillary Clinton becoming president would the blow that breaks this nations back.

It is incredibly important in this topic that you draw a very, very sharp distinction from "women's rights" and the women's rights MOVEMENT.

The organizations and leaders pretending to speak for women's rights have wrecked havoc, destruction, and poison upon our society.... precisely because THEY WERE NOT PROMOTING WOMEN'S RIGHTS. Instead they were / are promoting a gender war and a war on our culture and traditions.

It would be more correct to talk about the "GENDER WAR MOVEMENT" than a "women's rights movement."

I spent time in Eastern Europe, Women there know how to be strong and outspoken and independent without being nasty. If a woman there has an opinion, you will know it. If she wants something, you will know it. If she is unhappy, you will know it. If she doesn't want to do something, you will know it. Women in those cultures have learned to be 100% indepedent and self-reliant because there are far more women than men (for a variety of reasons) and the men are generally irresponsible, drunken, and die young. HOWEVER, THOSE WOMEN HAVE NEVER LOST THEIR FEMININITY. They can tell you that you are flat wrong while saying it sweetly. They can tell you, heck no, they are not going to do something they don't want to do, and yet doing it sweetly and pleasantly and with femininity.

Here, in America, the "Gender War Movement" chose to champion "women's rights" as a FAKE EXCUSE to make war upon men and American society. They have never been interested in women's rights, but only in tearing down our culture.

Spoken like the average bitter middle aged man that has come to the sad realization that WOMEN DON'T NEED YOUR SORRY ASSES EXCEPT TO REPRODUCE.

I was raised solely by my mother because my dad was a drop dead sot that didn't give a **** about either of us.

I'm 27, college educated, fiercely independent, and I have a man that RESPECTS ME FOR IT. When we get married, I will have a true partner and help mate... not some metrosexual pussy that can't handle responsibility, or pea-brained brute that thinks working 9-5 then parking his *** on the couch screaming for his dinner is being a husband.

Why don't you do America a favor and relocate to Afghanistan, you misogynist pig?

Uh, no. If you go back and see where the divorce rates started to rise, you'll find that women finally realized that they didn't have to get the tar beaten out of them, stay quiet in the face of verbal abuse or act as unpaid house slaves.

I provide my child's strong leadership example, thanks very much.

Are you in favor of a return to slavery, too? Do those "black folk" need to be "put in their place" too?

How DARE you call yourself a liberal?

Women don't have a "place" to be put into. Who do you think you are to do such a thing even if you could? Women have gained in power because they are completely equal to men, and the Neanderthals who can't deal with it are becoming quaint examples of a culture against women that is thankfully being winnowed out. There is something you and all who think like you fail to realize. Strong and secure men are doing quite well. They don't have a problem with women being equal to them. They have evolved and we women treasure men who have the brains and fortitude to understand the value of women in all areas of life. It is only weak and insecure men who blame society's current problems on the fact that women won't be cowed and kept barefoot and pregnant by them any longer. Strong and secure men realize that women have the right to make their own choices. Weak and insecure men whine about the loss of the traditional role of women because their egos can't take the fact that women have proven to be just as well equipped to be in charge and do a fine job of it as they have.

Your theory is too easy to turn on its head. If men would face the fact that we aren't living in the 1950's any longer and women are not going to ever go back to being second class citizens they could stop running away from strong women and work with them to raise that fine family. Strong and confident men are doing so all over this country. If men like yourself stopped basing the health of your own egos on having a woman that's subservient to prove your masculinity quite a few of those broken homes would still be whole. Your imagined "superiority" of men is old, tired, and rather sad. You and Pat Robertson should do lunch. He's a misogynist as well, and just as ridiculous. You are about as "liberal" as my cat, which equals not at all. He also thinks I am here to serve him lol.

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

You're absolutely right. We should go back to the days where the wife was treated as the husband's property, so he could beat her, cheat on her, not allow her to work outside the home, etc etc, and suffer no consequences. She should know that if she dares to leave him, she'll get no support, not get her children, and be branded an outcast in the community. After all, women aren't people, so why should they think they should be treated as people?

gee, I wonder how you feel about the Civil Rights movement ---- not!

Womyn are the best of our society. In fact, if womyn had more control over politics and government, I think it would be a vast improvement over the dismal record of men, who have done little more than attempt to Control everyone else, including womyn.

You are a neanderthal. I suppose you'd prefer to live in the Middle East, where women can't drive, can't travel w/o permission, can't own property, and are forced into arranged marriages where they have a baby every year.

In fact, why don't you just move there?
