That's because there is NO "silent majority." It's a myth. Republicans have to CON people into being Republican or part of the "silent majority." Have you ever seen that email asking people to wear red on Fridays to support our troops? First, it started off as an email to support our troops then later incarnations said that we should wear red on Fridays to show that we're part of the "silent majority" and support George W. Bush and his Republican War in Iraq. This is just one of many examples of Republican trickery and spin and proof of the non-existence of the "silent majority."

Na, I guess you couldn't figure out that all the libs are going to give them a thumbs down. That's if they don't try and outright silence them by reporting them as violators to YA.

They believe that people who disagree are idiots. They also believe in conspiracies. So in a round-about way they think that a bunch of thumbs down confirms their idea that there is a small group of liberals that just surf the net looking to attack them.

its a built in fail safe. if they get disagreement they play the role of victim and martyr. if they get agreement they play the role of the representing the majority.

its a win/win situation.
