Could you repost this with a little bit better description? Most people, me included, don't know what the heck you mean by "transperancy" in a relationship. And theres a fundemental fact that individuals, HAVE individual ideas on what a friendship is, even thou, there is only one natural way, BUT I assure you not ever persons going to find that, nor feel the same about it, atleast in my experience.....

I think it's essential. I find that I'm able to be transparent with my boyfriend, but not my female friends. I definitely don't think all people will follow you if you open up and say exactly what you think and feel. In fact, the opposite seems to happen to me. The more open and honest I am, the more reserved and avoidant my female friends have gotten (I'm female, by the way). My boyfriend loves that we can be as open with each other as we want, but the idiots I kept picking for friends get all freaked out and can't take it, even when it's not meant to be taken in any harsh way. I find transparency works better in female-male relationships than female-female friendships...but that's just me. Good luck. I hope you find someone who can accept transparency. I'm a woman but sometimes women stink!
