1) Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer- This series is my ABSOLUTE favorite! It's filled with action, romance, and fantasy(vampires) mixed with reality! Don't misjudge the vampire part though, because they arent those "fanged" halloween ones xD Twilight was so detailed, it made me feel as if i was experience that strong feeling of love myself! i loveeeee this series
2) Clique series by Lisi Harrison- This series is mainly realistic fiction, and i find that it's very easy to relate to the characters in these books =D. Not that i can relate to how they enjoy a very spoiled life, but i can understand how their friendships get broken and stuff like that =)
3) Uglies/Pretties/Specials/Extras- I found this series to be OK(not super great like Twilight xD)...
4)Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants- Again, another realistic fiction series that u can easily relate to! It's about friendships and different relationships with people =D
5)The Mediator series- Another series similar to Twilight =D It has romance in it too =)
6)Charlie Bone series- Really magical& exciting!
7) A series of unfortunate events- it gave me an idea at how lucky we are to live our lives today =D
8) Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot, or anything else written by her =D
9)Anything by Cornelia Funke (Inkheart, Inkspell, Dragon Rider, the Thief Lord..)
I hope this list helps!

I agree with the person that said that you shouldn't be reading "girl" books. If you were really interested in reading you would read any book that you came across with not just "girl books"

First, it's 'girl'.
Second, what do you mean by 'should'? Should according to who?
Lastly, have you considered just reading a great book instead of one that's limited to young teen girls?
