In many places, most or all of the possible sites for large scale production of electricity have been used. More electricity may be produced in the future through more efficient turbines and conversion processes, but most areas of the world are already fully exploited. What is left is in third world countries that usually don't have the infrastructure or economy to build or use large scale hydroelectric stations.

Hydropower is widely used. However it is limited by location since not all places have a water source or a productive place to build a hydropower plant or dam.

You can constrcut your own micro hydro power station on a stream quite easily, but i would really would like to see some sort of inclusion of it into homes to make use of all that water we waste.
