This is the 2nd Amendment, just incase you dont know:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

They ARE well regulated, They are a Militia, and They providing security for a free state, AND SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED UPON.

I really hated it when Bush, whom I voted for twice; called them vigilantes.

A militia is NOT supposed to be regulated by the state.

Support the Minutemen (and there are women as well). They rock!

They are not a militia. And they are regulated by no one. They operate under no authority. Not the state, county or country. That by definition is vigilantism.

Sorry. But if I run around with guns in New York trying to stop criminals, I will be shot by the police.

You shouldn't have voted for Bush in the first place. When will people learn that just becasue he says he cares about security in this country, it is the furthest thing from the truth. And if you think he waged war in Iraq for our "security" then god help you.

According to article I, section VIII of the Constitution: "[Congress shall have the power] To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions."

They only count as a militia if they answer to Congress. They do not answer to Congress. Congress cannot send the minutemen to Iraq, it cannot apply the uniform code of military justice to them, etc. Therefore, the minutemen are not a miltia. Therefore, they are not protected by the second amendment.

I support the minute men's effort. American Free speech and protest at it's best. It's nice to see a a group legally help there cause, while they protest government policy. While, most peoples idea of a protest is burning flags and smoking dope, I think this is a much more righteous way of standing up for what you believe in.

I think they're *******.

Whoever told you that the people who come here looking for jobs that no American will take were an invading force was lying to you.

They are not here to fight a war; they're here to feed their families back home. The way they do that is to feed your family -- that is enable you to be able to afford feeding your family.

A bunch of nut-cases running around armed is NOT something that adds to the security of the state, it detracts from it.

blood thirsty vigilantes, should never be confused with a patriot defending one's country from hostility or oppression.

When some stranger breaks into your home claiming that he is helping the DEA find drug dealers by turning your property upside down to see if you got any, we don't want to hear you complain.

They are vigilantes, and by whom are they regulated. A bunch of cowboys patrolling the border is not the solution. The solution to the illegal immigration problem is to enforce the laws we have already.
