My best advice is this: Having trained a number of characters to 70 before I quit, my experience was twofold. Firstly, you should ALWAYS pair up with someone when you can. Go on the same quests, do everything together. It makes it far quicker and easier when you have backup. Just ask around in general chat for someone to buddy up with and you usually find a solution. Secondly, ALWAYS log off at an inn. This may seem like an easy thing, but it gives you double xp when killing monsters ect. A real bonus if you want to level quickly. Thirdly, join a guild. Not only can guild members give you invaluable advice on where to quest, they can also provide you with assistance in the world. And finally, make sure you do EVERY quest. I usually hit up a town and just spend a few hours questing there until my quest log is clear. Tons of xp, and often half decent gear involved for you as well. Other than that, the main thing is to do alot of Dungeons. As a mage, you *might* be ok as a support for VC (Dead Mines). See if you can find someone high level to help you out. And invest abit in something like Brian Kopp's guide, which helped me out.

The best way to level is to complete quests. Grinding takes longer. Basically, find a place where the mobs respawn quickly, get a fast weapon, and burn them down. Usually places with lots of humanoids (pirates south of Ratchet in the Barrens, any cave because by the time you reach the end they'll have started respawning again, pirates in Tanaris, the furblogs in Feralas and Winterspring, etc.)
Good news though: the patch that was released yesterday makes it a lot easier to level - more xp per kill and fewer points to get between levels.

Depends on your level for grinding really. I've heard there are "sweet spots" to level at, but as I said, you would have to provide your level to name some.
Like the first poster said, questing with rested exp is best to level, but even questing without exp is good. Doing quests inside a dungeon is best in my opinion, because you get the elite exp plus the exp for the quest at the end.
My advice? Don't get distracted, like PvP and such. Focus on your quests, do them in the right order, and don't take quests that offer loot or money substantially lower than what you are used to getting, because they will waste your time.

Lol, well all I do really is since im lvl 46 on my NE hunter on stormrage server, i grind and quest in burning steppes, on the lvl 47-49 machines and spiders and elementals and stuff. On my warrior, i am on this quest for scarlet monestary, and i have to kiill all the bosses and i get this kick butt sword, and it is better than the 2 handed axe tht im using, and the sword is 1 handed and 2.7 speed, and axe is 3.4 speed =p do the math, lol. But really, just grind and quest and do instances for your level and stuff, and do instances with friends. That way you accually know somebody.=p

they just changed everything with this patch so it should be easier for you to get to 60. I ve been leveling like crazy but i play a lot. The main ways ive been leveling is to complete a lot of quests and go to high as you can in level dungeons.

Hi there,
If you need to download Crazy Machines II you can get it here for free: http://j.mp/1rlAILJ
it's completely free and it's very fast to install
After making their own machines, the player can share their creations in the online community. On the other hand, Crazy Machines II lets the player download the puzzles made by other players.
I love it!

Questing with rested XP is the best way I know how. That's the way Blizzard designed the game.
