Drink water, eat fiber, see a doctor. Take a gentle laxative, women's laxatives are usually easier than the regular, if you go more than a week or your stomach starts to hurt. I'd recommend taking one every day, either before bed or when you wake up, to keep things moving. You might also try a fiber supplement, but see a doctor for more suggestions and to make sure nothing serious is happening.

You should really try Miralax. It use to be available by prescription only BUT now its available Over The Counter. I couldnt go to the bathroom for 4 days and my doctor gave me that and it made me go that same day!!!! i was suppose to use it for 7 days and i only took it 3 days b/c it was working soooooo good i really didnt need the 7 days.

Also try to get in more leafy greens in your diet and ALOT of fiber.

Try using Metamucil everyday to get regular. You could try the wafers that they came out with. If you do try the Cinnamon Wafers make sure you eat it with a 8 oz glass of liquid so that it
wont make you choke.

Drink lots of water, eat plenty of fiber, and eat some prunes. Make sure you get some light exercise, like walking. That also helps get things moving. Avoid the BRAT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. Those are all binding and will only make constipation worse.

I have gastritis and have had the same problem all my life.
the only thing i have found than works is glycerin suppositories- they only take about 10-60min to work, no cramps or surprises later on (what you always get from laxatives).

Lots of people recommend fiber - and that's great, but you really need to see a gastroenterologist.

you could always try a fleets enema. You really need to call your doctor. If you have already taken over the counter meds & have had no results, I would be concerned. Call your doctor.

this can be dangerous if you aren't careful. i suggest eating healthier and adding more fiber to your diet. since this apparently a chronic condition, it might be a good idea to add a fiber supplement too.

yeah, fiber.

prune juice!

and if an inhanced fiber diet doesn't help, go to your doctor to get a stronger laxitive. (insist on bloodwork, it might be something serious)
