I'd put a bottle of both red and white out and let the guest select their own.

I'd serve both, as some people I know have a preference for one or the other, but I would probably have the white wine myself with turkey.

I've researched it a little and either would be fine. But go ahead, if your budget allows, and serve a bottle of both. This will please everyone. Here is a link to an article I found on it:

White wine with white meat and red wine with red meat is the proper way.
A nice sparkling chardoney with turkey Jacobs Creek is nice

Probably red, if I was serving it..I don't care for white wine..at least all the ones that I have ever tasted..I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and PEACE to you and those you love..;0)

Because turkey is poultry, and thereby a white meat, it should be served with white wine. In my opinion however, it should be served with whatever you and your guests prefer.
