i was already in the army i sacrificed enough. how about we cap the profits of suppliers to the military, anything over 5 percent goes to help fund the war.
why should the people be the only ones to sacrifice

I guess it depends on the war and why we are fighting it...I don't mind paying taxes, I do so willingly and try not to complain. But if the war is one that I do not agree with then I will fight to stay out of it.

We're already paying taxes to fund everything from the war to paying people to sit around doing nothing. Social programs are still our nation's biggest expense.

That's the best part of this whole mess. A war that our kids get to pay for. Gotta love those boomers.

If it were passed into law, I'd do it. No matter if I agree with the war or not, and no matter if we pay now or borrow to pay, in the long run, I still am paying my part.

I wouldn't sacrifice freedom.. because you can't help a nation by destroying its principles... but everything else... sure would.

I can't afford my $20,000 share for the war. I guess my children and grandchildren will have to pay it.

How about a pound of flesh?
Serve your country bodily or through an extra tax.
