Remove all towels, rugs, etc. from the room and start them in the laundry. Empty trash cans and laundry hamper, wipe them down, inside and out and set them out of the room for now. Turn on your vent fan and let it run until your job is finished.Take down your ceiling light fixture and clean it with mild dish soap and water, dry and replace. Now you can see what you are doing.
Starting to the left of the door, use a dust mop, a duster, or just a broom with a towel over the top, go around the walls at the ceiling to knock down any dust or cobwebs. Go over the entire ceiling. Once or twice a year, wipe down the walls with a dry cloth, pay attention to heat and a/c vents which get very dusty and will continue to blow dust around your room. Starting left of the door again, work your way around the whole room, stopping to dust light fixtures, towel rods, picture frames, etc. You will probably need to use a cloth with windex or somthing similar on light switch plates to get fingerprints off. You can do the same on the door if it is painted. .
Once you have completed this first step, go back to the door and working in the same direction clean the fixtures (toilet, sink, tub/shower). Use any anti-bacterial cleaner. DO NOT MIX cleaners, bleach, etc. The combination can be deadly if inhaled. Most people have their own favorite cleaner. My experience is that if you clean regularly almost any cleaner will do the job. If you have lime etc, around faucets use an old toothbrush. I wrap a rubberband around the handle several times so I know this is the toothbrush I use for cleaning. When you get to the toilet, remember about twice a year to remove the lid and wipe down the inside of the tank and the parts...this will help your toilet last years and years. After you have cleaned the fixtures, remember to rinse very well with water so there is nothing left, especially in the tub, that could irritate skin.
Next, clean mirrors and countertops, removing everything on them first. When you put things back on the countertop, wipe them down as you go.
Lastly, clean the baseboards and the floor. Use a cleaner made for your type of floor. Any vinyl floor can be cleaned with a mixture of 1/4 cup of amonia to a gallon of water. Amonia cleans well and dries clean. Never ever use a cleaner with soap on your floors as the soap dries sticky and just attracts dirt.
Replenish clean towels and rugs, put a liner in your trash can, replace trash and laundry bins.
You're done!

I like to stick with one or two cleaning products to clean the bathroom properly.. .Be careful mixing any bleach/ammonia based products..
I spot clean my bathroom everyday....I use antibacterial wipes on all the surfaces sink/toilet.. Door knobs, countertops...
Once a week I remove all the rugs/towels... and wash them...
I spray my tub/tile surround with scrubbing bubbles or soft scrub....Sink as well.. Let it sit for 20 min.. Wipe clean/rinse..
I wipe out the toilet, scrub....
Wipe the mirror down with windex.... Then I sweep/mop the floor and replace rugs/towels.
About once a week I pour 2-3 cups of bleach down all the drains and let it sit overnight... to keep drains running clear..
Good luck

I use "scrubbing bubbles" on the sink, outside of the toilet and the bath tub. I use glass cleaner on the mirror and tile. I use toilet bowl cleaner in the bowl itself. I mop the floor with Mr. Clean. Mine always sparkles.
