Get lots of boxes of baking soda and let them sit around the camper, just like you would the inside of a refrigerator. Baking soda absorbs nasty smells. Also, you need to air it out as much as you possibly can. Febreze will only mask the odor for awhile...the smell will eventually come back.
You can use a solution of vinegar and water to wipe it down, rather than bleach. Bleach sometimes doesn't do the trick. And, you'll just have a bleach/smoke smell. Take off all fabrics that can be washed, and wash them at least 3 times. Don't put them back until you've solved the rest of the problem. Otherwise, the fabric will just re-absorb the smell.
You could also sprinkle baking soda all over the flooring. Vacuum it up, then sprinkle it again..make it a repeated thing.
You'll eventually get rid of the smell. Be patient! Candles and sprays only mask the odor. Just remember that.

Hello there are two things I use for just about all odors that is baking soda and vinegar just make a solution of either and also Murphy oil soap is good for the stains. After you have cleaned it you can put 1 or 2 boxes of baking soda in your camper to keep all odors down I put mine in jars and put smalls holes in the top and it will dissolves the odors just like it does for the fridge, good luck and enjoy your camper

Evenly sprinkle a box of baking soda over the carpet, let it sit over night or maybe even the weekend. Vacuum up the baking soda and see if it's any better. Most carpet fresh type products are mostly baking soda with add fragrances but cost five times as much as plain baking soda.
If that doesnt work shampoo the carpet.
Some odors might not come out, you may have to change the carpet. Good luck with that.

I'm not sure what it's called, but Wizard makes a little tub that you pull the cover off of, and the orange scent will eliminate most of the smoky smell. You still need to wipe down the walls with a solution of water and Oxyclean.

that's a tough one! I would take something like 409 and just scrub everything down. If you have mattresses in there I would think about replacing them. Also, if you have a place that you can just air it out, that can actually help the most. Mothballs also help but then you have to deal with the smell of mothballs!

I've heard that crime scene cleaners use Listerine mouth wash to clean up the smell of a dead body. If that works for dead bodies I'm assuming it works for cigarette smoke.

Go to Home Depot (or similar) cleaning supplies section.
You don't need bleach, that's for mould & bacteria.
I'd try the orange-based cleaners;-} but ask for help.
