Minorities need help, don't you think? What about these?

Question

Minorities:

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat.
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don't get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
* They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.

I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans;
I'm talking about our troops!
Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them?

What do you think??

Ahhh...I can sure see where the support to allow all the illegals over here to get our goodies...if they are Mexican...comes from.

And why our troops back home injured and poor get little support.

What if we had thought that fighting Hitler in WW2 was "too many" dead Americans and pulled out? Or are most all you people deficient in your history lessons?

Folks, if we were not giving free medicine, free housing, free cars, (scratch the free driver's licenses for a while) and letting these Mexicans bring in drugs and selling them, , and letting them keep allegiance to Mexico, not the USA...would the USA collapse?

And of course, yes, to those who wish we had never come over. I am sure you wish you were under Hitler's domination, somewhere in an overcrowded Europe. Right?

Thanks to all, including those who are caught in the middle. I will keep this open a while longer...enjoying the nice things and the vitriol, and the way people do not really listen to the question and discuss!

It seems that some military folks think they are treated just fine. I don't know. My brother just enlisted with the National Guard. Maybe I'll find out more down the road. My father in law is a veteran. He goes to the vet hospital for care. They seem to do ok from what I can see. But because he has a lot of health problems, he's not able to do much because to go to the vet hospital is an all day affair. He is easily 2 hours from there. There isn't one closer. He's stubborn too so moving isn't an option.
I don't know how any illegals can get free anything. That is absolutely absurd and not what our government should be about. It should be about providing for its taxpaying citizens first. We should get something back from our government, otherwise why do we pay taxes and work hard? I'm willing to help out. I volunteer now twice a week. As soon as I finish my degree, I will pick it up more. It's kind of hard to do more with work and school and family.

From what I understand, the democrats want to end the war so they are using the only power they have, which is unfortunately cutting off funding but it's only because they don't want to give Bush a blank check.

I don't have an opinion at this point except that I want our troops home. I want them to get all the care and help they need to get back into civilian life. I want them home safe.

I think they funding should be with held, These wars are illegal and doing more harm to America than good. 2 Trillion tax dollars to fund Wars that are killing hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq. millions of displaced people, this is going to haunt America forever and people will line up to do harm to American Interest and its people all over the world, as long as a country invades another sovereign nation without provocation and holds its oil and people hostage, then people have the right to fight back. By any means necessary. If the crazy people running America do not realize they are going to be targets for a very long time. then the people need to take charge of their own country and put a stop to these Wars. Or the soldier will continue to die needlessly, And stop blaming Mexicans for America's problems, Its bigger than that.. All American's are illegal immigrants from somewhere else.. Just Ask the Indians and Africans that were brought to America to work for lazy white people.. . And California and Texas were Mexico before they were stolen by America's European Settlers.

I think we should support the troops and bring them home. And what "lavish" benefits are you speaking of? Just because something is true in your head doesn't make it reality.

The kindest thing we can do to our troops is admit we made a mistake going into Iraq and bring them home. Funding the troops is wonderful, killing them for no reason is awful.

I think we shouldn't have illegals here but you know what they do work for cheap prices. Now that im looking to remodel my kitchen and i dont plan on calling Home Depot if ya know what i mean...

I was a US Marine for 8 years, I dont want nor need sympathy for what I chose to do. Thanks for the sentiment, but no thanks. It was still the best 8 years of my life
