As it stands people vote for the person who can tell the best BS, not one who actually wants to lead with integrity. Why?

I know that I personally don't like living in lies, and to me, BS is nothing more than lying to people's faces. This goes for Democrat and Republican alike, there is nothing different between the two besides their name.

I agree. Party politics is probably the single most damaging thing to this country. We are so busy arguing about what the Dems or Reps are doing and fighting against each other, that we forget that we are all on the same side and should be working to make this a better country. So many good bills get squashed just because the person presenting it isn't part of the majority party. Makes me sick. How about a little freaking SOLIDARITY?

For a long time now I have been very disappointed with the 2 party system. Personally I think it is dead, at least dead as far as our founding fathers saw the system working. Any more it seems that PARTY comes before COUNTRY. And the media hypes this the nth degree to the point of making me sick. No longer does it seem we care which candidate is going to help the country the most instead we are told which candidate is going to push the party agenda the best.
Over and over I wonder where we took a wrong turn in our political process. One day we went from the great stories of George Washington and I chopped down the cherry tree to every kind of lie and deceit known to man.
Many years ago if your child came home from school and said one day I want to be president, you would have done anything to help him get there, now if they did the same thing you would slap them up side the head and say whats the matter with you?
I wish that there were no more political parties, or at the very least we were not told what party a candidate was with until after he was elected, then at least that way the voting public would have to know something about who they are voting for and not run like lemurs to vote party when some of the candidates are now what they would vote for if they know anything about them.

IMHO, over the last decade or so people have finally woke up to the fact that regardless what the person says during the election, they go along with what the party instructs them to do and vote how the party tells them to. So, nowdays, voting for the person is a waste of time.

Although I am convinced that we have at least one statesman running in the upcoming presidential election. Ron Paul will do things the way the constitution demands and will hold the legislative branch to the same standard. This man deserves all of our votes.

Indeed, what is the difference between Remocrats and Depublicans? But I hope and pray that Ron Paul will be the Republican presidential candidate and Kucinich will the the Democratic presidential candidate, please God.
By the way, I think it is necessary to ask the following question, since many Israelis see themselves as the "51 state of the US", do Americans really need Israel as its 51st state? I mean, come on...

Politicians nowadays don't have the guts to do anything even if their people don't like it. They're more worried about pleasing their friends and supporters that help them get elected. They need the party because the party has two sets of important numbers: people, and money.
Unfortunately, strong minded middle-class people can't really run for higher offices anymore, because parties can't mold them and thus won't fund their campaigns.

you are able to take Obama out of the communist celebration yet you won't be able to take communism out of Obama. there is no such concern as getting rid of political events. Political events basically describe the ideologies of the folk in the celebration.

People are lazy and don't want to put in the effort. They don't want to do the research. The want to be spoon fed their facts and could care less if they are true.

We need to take our country back.

vote Ron Paul for change!!

That would entail actual thought and research. Our society is far too busy for that. We rely on sound bytes and peer pressure to make decisions for us.
