On the Today show he looked Matt right in the eye and claimed he had nothing to do with either the murder of his former wife or his missing wife who has been gone since late October.

Do you think he is telling the truth?

Scott Peterson did the same thing. I dont know if he did it or not, but something stinks of fish with this situation.

Karma may have just come back to haunt him. Let's say that Stacey relaly did run off & leave her kids and is just playing this charade (which would be odd), it's kind of funny that they are so suspicious that they are exhuming his 3rd wife's body.
Even if Stacy ran off, that may be how karma is getting him if he killed his first wife. You have to admit , for two really bizarre things like this to happen to a man within a 4 year span, it's pretty suspicious. One wife drowns in a bathtub, next wife up and disappears, leaving her children whom she adored, and hasn't called even one family member to let them know she's alive, so they won't be worried she's dead?
I smell a fish! Plus, he's the only one that has ever said she's run off before - the family & friends say that's a lie, that she has never, and would never leave her kids.

I don't know what to believe yet, but my suspicious antennaes are on ALERT with this guy. Both families of both women suspect him. Even the first wife - they've always thought he killed her too. Even afriend of his that has been a friend to him for 20 something years has come out and said he thinks he probably killed her.

I must admit this is a very strange case. Hopefully someone will find her soon. As for now, I'm kind of leaning toward the murder theory

Although cops have this attitude that they are above and beyond the law, they really should be held to an even higher standard than the public at large! When he's convicted assign him to live with the rest of the general prison population and the taxpayers will enjoy huge savings when they take care of the situation for them! This guys arrogance is limitless! He really believes he's going to get away with murder!

Oh my god. I am so glad you posted this question. I saw the interview as well and I thought the whole time HE DID IT. How can you sit there all cool and calm when your wife is missing? Matt asked her if she told him she was seeing someone else and he said "I dont know" or something like that. Skidded around the whole violence in the relationship as well. He has been married 4 times! All ended badly I suppose. Matt was pretty hard on him. I hope they find the proof they need.

he must know ....people !They always do.Is a case at the mo ,in Greece,Crete, where some soldiers ,with police went to arrest a drugs dealer. They were shot at, with machine guns, then the special forces turned up and started arresting, and un digging all sorts, canabis, guns, money, lorries used in ATM robberies, and the rest. Now,as I hear it they investigating 2 active politicians, who been in contact with the investigating officer, trying to make the charges against the dealers softer.Even an ex chief of police is been investigated, for when he was working he lied to court for one of the suspects!!! And, before you ask,I still dont believe all I read and hear in the media. This is just the half of it !!

Cops are not above the law. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If convicted, he should be treated like anybody else. I would not think of him as "cool" guilty or not. I also believe in capital punishment for 1st degree murder, if so convicted.

I have to agree with you on this one Cheesey, I think there is much more to this story than the media is privvy to. If Mrs. Peterson is out there somewhere, I hope she has the common sense to come forward and quit wasting the taxpayers money.

He just seems too calm and collected for a man whose wife is missing. I think he is using all his police training to his advantage.Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I say he is GUILTY.
