I have a laptop having a built in wireless adapter. It has been configured with my office wireless lan. Now I have one wireless Lan installed in my apartment building. How can I configure my adapter for logging to both the lan since the home lan requires a different set of IPS.

Saikat, unfortunately you can't hard code two sets of IP addresses for one wireless adapter on your laptop, but there is a cool little program out there called NetSetMan that lets you easily change those IP settings without constantly retyping all those numbers. You can download it for free here... http://www.netsetman.com/index.php?s=nsm.php#nsmdl

Good luck ; )

Depends on how the IP address is configured.

If your work uses DHCP (a way to automatically hand out IP addresses) then configuring for home is easy. If they hard code the IP, then configuring for home is nearly impossible. Most use DHCP.

When you get home, go to the Control Panel and click the Wireless Wizard icon. It should show you your home network (and any others it sees nearby). Select your network, and enter the password for the network when promted. Windows should take care of the rest, getting an IP address through DHCP from your home router.

When you return to work, it should automatically detect the work network and get a new IP address through DHCP there.
