Fran was fired (figuratively) the day the secret booster situation came to light- a clear violation of the A&M code of conduct, which folks in College Station take pretty serious.
Bo Pelini! He is ready to take a stab at head coaching and can turn any defense into a force (gig'em WRECKING CREW!). Defense wins games- and with Bo, Texas HS recruiting, and deafening Kyle Field you could expect the Aggies to win a lot of games.
The wrinkle: Pelini has been mentioned frequently for the Nebraska head coaching job... guess its who gets him first (or who wants him more).

I think the nail came when the secret emails came out. Fran is gone no matter what.
Not sure on replacements. There are some good coaches out there, I think it will depend what other vacancies come up besides Nebraska. I also don't think Spurrier is going anywhere. He isn't finished at SC yet.

As an OU fan I love coach Fran being @ A&M but if they can get Tubberville he would be a great hire. I also heard a rumor of Spurrier...kind of a long shot there!

Fran is a gone pecan. I'm not sure who they are looking at to replace him. I am sure they can afford anyone they want.

Hers a New Mexico fa who was thrilled when we dumped that no good bum. He couldnt even win in the WAC whe he coached us, and it was hillarious to see teams like bama and A&M get him thinking he was worth anything? How did your A.D.s get a their jobs???? Ha HA LMAO!!!
