You remember the trailer? well the video on the trailer shows a tape found by a survivor... that's it... it will not happen simultaneously... It's a flashback... that's so LOST

Most monster movies don't suck ... how about Jurassic Park or Independence Day (not monsters, granted, but still scary "unknowns") or King Kong? I think the Godzilla franchise is incredibly popular (not the remake - that was very lame).
I don't think the movie has gotten any hype, except for the "what's this about" hype. No one knows what it's about, so we can't say for sure if it's going to be good or not. I'm looking forward to it; the preview made it look good. I like the look of the frightened cameraman videotaping the destruction.
