i just started inking a drawing i did on bristol board and made a small mistake, i know whiteout will raise the surface and be impossible to color over naturally, is there anything i can do or anything else i can use to correct the small error? i plan on coloring the piece with colored pencils or prismacolor markers, please help because i need to get this done for someone before xmas!

Try an electric eraser with a slightly abrasive eraser.

Really not worth the effort. Any cover up material will change the texture of he board. (as you have already figured out) Any thing that will "erase" the ink will only do so by "scraping" the paper surface and also ruin the surface.

Short of purchasing a new board (which is my, urgent, suggestion) you can work on the back side of the board, and then mount the piece in a frame, with a cardboard backing, to cover up the mistake.

Really, go out and buy a new board and take care to do it right, this time. If you do it now, you should have time to finish the work by Xmas.

What about coloring over it with white colored pencil since you were going to do that after anyway.
