Yes, a 14 month old can have tap water. However, if you have well water and have not had it recently tested, you may want to go with bottled water instead as there can be bacterial and mineral contaminents that could be harmful.
Also, if you have public water, you may want to check out the latest quality report before giving your baby water from the tap - even public water can have high content of unhealthy substances. My town reported high content of a certain carcinogen last time around... we are giving our son only nursery water as a result.

Hi there, Yes i would say it is safe as your baby is over 1year old, and will be picking things up and touching things now, and the immune system will be stronger now, my daughter is 10months and sometimes i have gave her a drink from the tap if the boiled water is not ready to drink.

my youngest daughter is 8 months old and we give her tap water we started doing this at 6 abd a half months and shes fine. the health visitor recommended it. You can give them tap water form when u stop sterilising the bottles because babies need to build up an immune system

Yes. At this point in their lives they will have been crawling all over the place, coming into contact with bugs and will have a good defence system developed. Tap water will be fine

Diluteing Drinks? OMG! Why! If they can't handle it straight,.. maybe they shouldn't have as much of it to begin with.
Tap water is Deadly Tricky. It varies wildly and can easily be contaminated. You should research your local water online, if at all posible, make sure it's been passing and it's levels are appropriate.
Also take into consideration they over due things like Fluoride and don't monitor them properly. So you Tap Water can be the Suggested Daily Fluoride for a 6 foot tall man in only 4 ounces.

It depends whereyou live (i live in scotland where our water is very pure)
Im pretty sure at 14 months tap water is fine though. its small babies who need boiled water so it is completely sterile and has no flouride in it.
It may benefit your 14 month old because of the flouride.

I guess it depends on what country you live in. My baby drank bottled water for a couple weeks when he was born and then switched to tap water...Doctor says the flouride in it is good for him. I use city water...They recommend not giving babies well water.

Yes! My pediatrician says tap water is fine. I use it to mix formula. It gives baby flouride without having to buy water with fouride in it. Boiled water does nothing for baby.

At 14 months definitely yes.
I breastfed, but supplemented with bottles and always made the bottles with tap water from about 3 months on with my Pediatrician's OK.
