OK. Well, in my friend's grade seven homeroom class, the teacher said that come Valentine's Day, the home room captains would pick a name out of a hat, and that person would pick one person they like, and some time during the day, kiss that person. She was serious, too. I just don't think that that's fair... also, the person that would have their named picked would probably be really embarrassed, and then everyone would be all nervous to see who they would want to kiss. I just don't think it is right that the teacher is provoking things like that. What are your thoughts on this?

Oh yeah, and the teacher said that the kiss could be anywhere... so it isn't limited to just a harmless kiss on the cheek.

Contact your principal, I'm pretty sure this is sexual harassment/inappropriate behavior.

OK, that's just weird. I think it totally crosses the line between what's acceptable and what is not. Your friend needs to go to the principal and tell him/her what's going on. That teacher needs a serious reality check....

I don't think that is right. I would be furious if my child was told this. I do not send my child to school to have him be forced to kiss another child, I send him to learn. I think you should advise your parents as to what is going on.

Contact local authorities and your school superintendent. This isn't right.
