I'm suppose to be 4 weeks pregnant. I am seeing a doctor. I don't trust her because she doesn't returns her call and she tells me to do really idiotic things like "quite my job", "stop taking my vitamins", "go to the gym". But she also told me that I am at risk since I have had 4 miscarriage in the past months. She doesn't want to give me a Preventive arrest from work, telling me that being up on my feet for 13 hours is perfectly ok. Even if I only have two 10 minute breaks that permits me to eat, pee and rest. A couple of weeks ago she took blood. She was suppose to call me and tell me te results. She never did. I had to go back there and tell them that I will not leave until I have my results. Then a civilian doctor told me that I "was" pregnant and that I am loosing it, took more blood. So I went home. The week after I saw my doctor, told me that I was pregnant and everything is fine, took more blood and send me home. She was suppose to call me last week with the results; she didn't

Can't you change to another office completely. This is insane. I have one doctor who I see who is fabulous. I feel for people like you who have to put up with this nonsense. Call your insurance and find out where else you can go. You can't go through a pregnancy with your stress being your doctor. Good luck!

Start by getting a home pregnancy test and seeing if it is positive, it should be it doesn't sound like you had a moiscarrige, you would know. Then I would change doctors while it is still early in your pregnancy. You can be working like normal up until you just aren't comfortable anymore with all the standing and such. Take prenatal vitamins every day, you can still go to the gym, just make sure at the end of the day each night you get plenty of rest and keep yourself comfortable. Pregnancy is not a sentance, you do not have to put your life on hold, you just have to make sure you don't overwhelm yourself, so if you need a break then take it, your body will tell you if you are doing too much.

I'm confused....
You said: she tells me to do really idiotic things like "quite my job", "stop taking my vitamins", "go to the gym".
And then you said: telling me that being up on my feet for 13 hours is perfectly ok
OK now, why would she tell you to quit your job, and then say that being on your feet for 13 hours a day is fine.
Was that a typo? If not, this woman sounds like an idiot for sure.
Good luck

EDIT: People are telling you to take a pregnancy test.....well my dear that would do no good. Because you will still test positive up to 6 weeks after a pregnancy ends. Even if the baby was delivered full term, a pregnancy test still shows positive up to 6 weeks later. The only thing I can tell you is that if you are not bleeding or cramping you are still pregnant. Take care of yourself as much as possible and again, Good luck.

Report the doctor to the chain of command. And you can see another docotr. You just have to write a letter explaining the situation to the head of the medical board. You should be able to find an address up at the office or calling.

Are you in America??? If you are I am sure you can call around to other doctor offices to find better health care. Even if you have to call the next town over.
