I'm referring to Romney's assertion regarding Huckabee and Guiliani (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071114/ap_po/romney_immigration;_ylt=AjM2FiOslDurFJ0ghXtLg62s0NUE)

and the story regarding Tancredo's ad.

I'm glad to see politicians finally addressing the issue, but I'm afraid that Romney is just another example of a politician changing stances to gain votes, not because its something he truly believes in. Someone like Tancredo, for example, has had a firm stance since day one, and a political record to back it up. He has always held firm on this position. Romney is obviously jockying for votes.

Yes, it's about time how the issue of illegal immigration comes out of the shadows and hurts and cost the American middle class tax payer, instead of how we want to amnesty so that the illegally come out of the shadows, with the marches, ACLU, LaRaza and such it looks they were out for some time

It is a huge issue...with what's going on in the Middle East and the fact the immigration system in the US is broken and is in need of a major overhaul. Not to mention a Congress that doesn't get the hint of no amnesty as they keep shoving amnesty bills down our throat.

It is a non-issue like gay marriage and abortion. A waste of time. A distraction from the actual issues. They have done this before with the Mexican immigrants. I think it was in the 1930s.

Nope. The "round them up and deport them" crowd and people like the Minutemen kind of strike me as lynch mobs waiting to happen.
