I'm not Muslim but I'm getting a little tired of the Muslim bashing and scare mongering on Y!A?

Question

Muslims are mostly good people, like everyone else. They are being scapegoated for our disappointments with Labour. It's frightening how we lap up politians and religious leaders, Media Billionaires money spinning words.

How do you get such a bad opinion? Is it just the Media? If you feel justly angry then what did you actually do about it? Did you fight racial intolerance with racial intolerance. Did it get you anywhere?

Personally, my concerns in this country are the rubbish laws and over population and unfair taxes. We are a SMALL Green Island! We are being screwed by the rich politians/media/oil/weapon/phamacetical billionaires and are too busy scrapping with each other while they are getting away with it. Smoke and mirrors. I have written to my local government and taken these issues and others as far as I can. Pointless? Only if I'm the only one...I just wish more people would get involved in local politics.

Thanks for pointing out my over generalisations with the media etc..I realise it, but ran out of room to elaborate!! Just wanted to hear people's opinions on racial intolerance, and if people feel they have been treated unfair if they have actually done anything about it?

Spellcheck and others who want to bash please elaborate on why you feel this way (first hand experience or was it the media that told you?)

Ok...i am a Muslim and i appreciate i agree... put ur self in my shoes after 9/11 i haven't had a a night sleep...alway afraid of being attacked...and so are non-muslims...they're afraid of a bomb exploding near them...so you see me and you(Muslim-non Muslims) are not the problem..the problem are these politicians...and the ones behind them who are crashing plains to towers...brain washing people to do suicide bombings and so on...let us all live in peace...Muslim's believe that everyone is free to chose their religion...we too consider moses and jesus and Abraham and Noah as prophets of god..(its all in the quran)..and the parts about killing non Muslims has conditions...if those conditions happen a Muslim is allowed too kill...and those conditions piratically never happen ......people have only heard about this part of quran...way doesn't any one talk about the parts of the quran that's about peace and love..(which is most of the quran)...and only emphasize the parts about war and that stuff?...why??

It's a common occurrence. A small group of muslims do something bad and people point and say all muslims are bad. One crooked politician and all politicians are crooked. Some black people use drugs so all blacks are junkies or dealers. It is an easy trap to fall into.
We tend to notice the worse in people.
Here in America a few priests molest children and suddenly we forget about all the good the church has done for hundreds of years.

So sorry when you feel this way.Arn,t you by the very nature of the question keeping the traffic moving.Its all to clear the intention,and i would say the reason,but in fairness people always remember the bad things. This is true i believe even of your childhood,we tend to remember certain unfair aspects,they got this,i only got that. All the news lately is of the bad things muslims do,which intelligence says a few not all.The one aspect i find quite clever,is to say all the bashing etc,which in itself is saying your all wrong.My youth was more mods and rockers,or law and Teds,but if this subject is to be closed,handshakes are needed all across the board.You will find that this will only happen when one group is subservient to the other.There is room in this world for everyone,and if all groups and factions,nations and countries could sit down and establish a complete international set of laws and behavioral standards,but once that done,your own religeous and ancestoral codes are yours to do as you like,providing you dont resort to violence and bombs to get your own way,it could be a little more stable.However it must be understood that weapons are disarmed and each country is given no advantages to threaten,and despots are dealt with quickly.You may find the very group you think are being bashed actually have no interest in peace,just world domination,as are so many more.My thought of the day is if the world ran out of oil tomorrow,what would everyone do.

Are you really sure you are not a Muslim? Your account only opened on the 5th Nov 2007, there is no list of questions and answers and I have no means of judging your opinion. .No wish to be cynical but if a Muslim wanted to pretend to be a Caucasian real Brit this would be the way to do it.

I am against the multi million (2 million) Muslim community which our er "government" has allowed to grow in the UK. I think is is a disaster waiting to happen. I say this on ideological not racist grounds. Islam is 90% political ideology based on religion and not a race. After all that has happened 7/7 the Muslim doctor bombers , Muslim threats to behead perope exactly of my personal opinion etc I think the UK people are exceptionally tolerant .

I agree with you how we are being screwed and by whom and the scrapping - divide and rule is the maxim - and that all of us should get more involved in politics.
The amount of legislation that has been passed is amazing, but are things any better?
It seems that the law does not apply to some people as it does for the rest of us.

I'm sure they are but terrorists have given them a bad name I personally have found the ones I deal with pushy and rude my children attend a c of e school and we had some that wanted to join we said fine here are the rules but they didn't like them they wanted special allowances eg not going to church there are 2 non religious schools in our town we suggested they try there.I feel don't come to my country and then start trying to change my religion my choice.I am all for them having their own schools.

Firstly what is Y! A?, ? i know Q&A but not this,questions and answers are just that.A great deversity of questions and answers are posted on this site and and what you specify is just a small item in the deversifide questions and if the questions and answers are valid and warented ? so be it.
Lots of people are and have been involved in polotics for hundreds of years, some militant and some pasafists but they all have and do work towards one goal,the people,whose intrest they all work for.As for the rich without them people woul be out of work.Comunisum was once present,outlawing rich people but this did not work and now we have countrys like China turning ever more to capitalisum so on this basis, and our country being over loaded with imigrants,people still have a voice on this forum with a nay or yay.

I'm not sure if your rant is about Muslims, Politicians, the Media, rich people or local government. You sound quite disturbed by the world you live in.
With that said....
The Muslim issue is of precedence so I will say that I have met and enjoyed people of many faiths and culture (with Muslims included). Recently (for the past few years anyway) many people (not just Americans) have suffered and died at the hands of "select" Muslims.
Our problem (because we are only human) is that we can't tell the good Muslim from the bad. Sooo, this bring into play racial or other forms of profiling.
This is a problem that I and many would like to correct and if the Muslim people would stand up against such "select" Muslims and their leaders, then we might have a chance.
Until then take a Valium and lie down for awhile.
