There are some mysterious incidents occuring & the news channels are bringing up many such interesting informations & some hidden facts & unexplainable incidents. Many well reputed Scientists & astronauts agree that there are aliens. ( And they have reasons to agree, they say there are proofs )
I believe that we humans have not been able to explore the entire Universe so how can we be so sure of the non - existence of aliens. There are millions of galaxies & solar systems. When there is life on earth & we & several species of living creatures exist then it is possible that life might be on some other planet not necessarily in our solar system & it is also possible the environmental conditions are suitable for their existence but might not be suitable for ours !! Who knows ??.
Thanks for your kind response :)

yeah. I dont want to be the nerd in here, but anyway, there's this organization from NASA called SETI (search for extra-terrestrial intelligence). They received 1 signal from 'out there' EVER, it lasted for 72 seconds. That was the ONLY signal we ever received. It's called the "WOW signal", in Ohio State University.
There are many ways to explain why we haven't been able to communicate with aliens:
1. Planets form and die at different times to other planets. They may have existed before us, and died
2. We are thousands of light years apart. Signals sent therefore take the same times to get there, and other thousands of light years to reach us.
3. They are too advanced, they try to communicate with us but we don't understand their signals
4. We use Radio waves as ways to send signals and communicate with them, but they may use other kind of energy that we don't know.
Also for Life (similar to Earth Life) to exist, there has to be Amino acids, fatty acids, glucose, carbon, oxygen. Guess what, those meteorites that crashed our planets have the same ingredients!! That means there is Life out there!
I picked up these from Enrico Fermi's Nobel prize: "Where is everybody". U can also check it out at wikipedia.org. Basically, what i've said is not "all" there is. There are so, so much more. Interesting stuff!!

Of course it seems likely that earth is not the only place in the universe with life, but so far we haven't discovered it yet so it remains only a possibility.
The word "belief" is highly abused these days and is inappropriate in all but religious contexts. It conveys no real information, if you think about it, only an emotional attachment to an idea. The scientific approach is to evaluate new ideas as worthwhile or not, and then actually investigate them instead of merely asserting them as UFO believers do.
Scientists have been searching for signals of intelligent origin for many years (the SETI project) with so far negative results. This hasn't discouraged them because the universe (or in the case of SETI the nearby section of the galaxy) is a very big place and it could take centuries before such a signal is found.
Meanwhile the "true believers" will continue with their evidence-free religion and call hard-working scientists bad names for not telling them what they want to hear.
PS: May I remind everyone that the first letter in 'UFO' stands for *unidentified* - that means *you don't know what it is!*

If aliens are the kind that aren't destructive, sure. As in they don't come and suddenly wage war on us.
But we have to consider human's reaction towards them too. Humans sometimes shun others because they feel that they look "weird", especially other humans. If we were to do that to these aliens, and these aliens happen to get aggressive when they are offended like that, then I'd rather not think about it.
It is true our technology isn't that great also. There are many unexplored parts of space and what we see in other galaxies are how they look many many years ago because light takes so much time to travel through.
Somehow, I still do not believe in aliens though.. I don't know how to put it..

Darling, only a human (That too a very stupid one) would be arrogant enough to think that he is the one and only!
The dark and deep Universes too huge to comprehend,
How, can a human even think, he must scorn
that we were the only one born of his hand
That his creativity ended when Adam was born,
And that, its' just US, but a little grain of sand,
sitting on the Sahara of space, which will never not end
Maybe he should explore the oceans,
To see how a whole universe exists first,
Then maybe he might be ready,
If he and his kin go slow and steady,
To explore the universe,
with a lot of different options.
My goodness, I actually made a rhythm!

I believe aliens exist. I am not one to claim to have been abducted but I do believe they are out there. They may be nothing like sci-fi movies make them out to be, but they are there. I saw something this weekend that said somewhere like 49% of Americans believe in aliens. I wouldn't be surprised if we found life on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons. It has an atmosphere similar to ours.
Also, I was awake at around 4-5 am on Saturday morning (11-10-07) and saw in the sky what looked like a star but then it got bright like a full moon. It kept dimming and brightening but on no set pattern. It was the craziest thing. I have looked online to see if a shuttle, satellite, comet, asteroid or anything should have been visible at that time, but have found nothing. I wonder if anyone else saw it???

Your reasoning is sound! To think that there is no intelligent life outside our solar system is unrealistic. The UFOS sighted by humans are not from outer space, there is not the slightest proof to the contrary. The vast distances involved makes it very unlikely that we will ever visit other life sustaining systems capable of communicating with us. If it ever happens I hope to be around to experience it.

i believe in aliens but not in ufo's as i believe if they did exsist then they need not hide and could have talked to us long time ago through internet satellite tv etc as if they have such advanced technolgy they can easily do it
but certainly there are aliens and they live in some some far lost planet or may be traveling around but certainly they do exsist

We are really ignorant if we believe that we are the ONLY forms of life in the entire universe.
~If I was an alien and knew about us here on earth, I would probably be sitting around with all my alien buddies laughing at how dumb earth people are.

We know there are aliens form in the universe, as far as I know, we even found fossilized bacteria on .... which place was it..... I don't remember but anyways (Maybe a fragment from a Jupiter's moon.....).
The question is whether there is intelligent life form elsewhere. Finding bacteria is cool, but what really amazes the "mass" is intelligent life form.

Yes, I believe there are aliens.
Yes, I totally believe in UFOS.
No, I do not believe aliens are buzzing earth in space ships, though I admit it is quite possible and may be true. I'm just lacking solid evidence to assert that there are aliens buzzing Earth.
