Don't forget to take a break every so often. If you blow off studying and watch TV or listen to music all day, you'll be in trouble, but studying nonstop can have down sides too. You need to take a break and let your brain relax.

Maybe just sitting down and studying is not the right approach for you. You should speak with a teacher or a guidance counselor, since they might be able to help you with alternative methods of studying.

Remember, just because you don't do that well in school doesn't mean you aren't smart. Everyone's brain is a little different, and school is geared to teach and test one type of person. I know some people that got straight A's, and are completely unable to deal with the real world, but some of the smartest people I know did poorly in school (my organic chemistry professor almost failed out of college before he went on to graduate school).

Just because you don't fit into the regid teaching/testing structure of school doesn't mean you're not smart. Just alter your approach and talk to your teachers and parents. I'm sure you can find an approach that will get you through.

Keep trying and don't give up!

Don't give up! You can only do your best and there's no shame in working hard and getting Cs. It's hard to follow an older sibling who's really smart, and it must be worse with two! I'm sure your parents know that you are working hard and love you. They want you to do the best you can and do well in life.

Have you considered the possibility that you might be dyslexic which could affect your ability for book-learning? It might be worth getting checked if you are really struggling.

I expect you have other skills or talents that your brothers don't have. Maybe you are better at music, or sport, or crafts, than they are. Book learning is just one part of life. People with practical skills can be very successful too (e.g. in businesses like plumbing, electrics, building, mechanics, etc). In fact because of the emphasis on academic learning in recent years there is a shortage of people with these skills so they can make a LOT of money!

It is possible, but poor marks in school aren't necessarily an indicator of a lack of intelligence. You simply might not be suited to the kind of work academia entails, or you may be attacking the problem in the wrong way. Don't compare yourself to your brothers, as that won't get you anywhere, just do your best and focus on your strengths. Albert Einstein himself was told he would be a failure in life because he did badly in school!

Try going to your teachers and asking them where you're losing marks, and work on those areas. See what they think you could do to improve. You might not be totally up to speed in one area, such as your grammar or paragraph construction, so working to fix that could assist in bringing all your marks up. It's fixable, it really is - anything is fixable but death.
And in the end, remember, especially in junior high, marks aren't everything - you have many years to improve. As it is, you should be commended for studying properly and doing your best.
