I have heard that Yellow# 5 will cause shrinkage in certain male body parts, is this true?

No. This is a well-worn "urban myth." You can look it up on http://www.snopes.com . Mellow Yello (one of the "foods" that use this dye) is not exactly health food, but it won't make you sterile or shrink your balls or any of the many bad things it's supposed to do to men. It WILL rot your teeth and make you fat if you drink too much of it, though.

In order for it to have any type of effect you would need to drink a gallon of yellow 5 concentrate. It's nothing you have to worry about.
