Round and round...(a prose poem)

People say the earth is round. But is it really round? How round? They said life is like a rollercoaster. Why rollercoaster? Why not marry go round? But what happens if the world is no longer round? and life is no longer like a rollercoaster? What happens when the clock stops ticking? Will our hearts stop beating? Will our pulse keeps on beeping? Stop! Thy thread is on empire's dust! Will the life of the earth ends tragically as Napoleon's? What would be mother earth's tragic flaw then? To provide mankind excessively? To spoil men with countless necessities? Or is the earth round because of its infinite life? Round beings don't have an end nor an angle. Not possible to be cornered. Doesn't she feel tired of being so round? Does it symbolize the roundness of her heart? Tirelessly giving and giving. All around the clock. Non-stop. Round and round. Round. Balloons are round. But balloons are fragile. Mother earth is a tough figure. Like Erin Brockovich. Catering to the insatiable needs of citizens of the earth. Feeding hungry mouths. Forgiving ungrateful children of her own breed.

In twenty years, 2027. We will have larger TVs and smaller everything else. Except energy bills, those will be huge, with government finally getting the idea that having oil producing countries owning us isn't a good deal.
All those huge homes, with the open floor plans and high ceilings in the north will stand empty, too expensive to heat.
Travel will decrease, jobs will require college level education that don't now. We will have serious problems with the poor and lower classes as they will have no where to go. We many have an increase in street crime and gangs similar to the thirties. Pharmaceuticals that induce complacency will be legal and more common as we seek to defuse tensions within the country.
I can remember being in fifth grade and talking about the year 2000. We also thought of living on the moon and jet packs for commuting, outside of DIck Tracys TV watch( old cartoon) that todays cell phone does much better, there isn't all that much thats different, great toys, tremendous advances in medicine, but human nature stays the same.

In another five years,,and it has already changed so much since I was born

When I was a child we thought a two way wrist watch was something a comic strip writer just imagined,,not that it would ever come about

and that a B-27 was the ultimate in AEROPLANES...

I won't live to see the changes that are sure to take place

We played "work up" baseball in the streets..now there are so many vehicles you wouldn't dare..

It would be nice if there would be no more wars,,but, sad to say, that is not a possibility..there is too much greed in our world and not nearly enough love and tolerance of others beliefs

satisfied Birthday to Regis! He seems large and is large. many persons are up in years and out of their chairs -- Betty White, as an occasion! 80 is the previous 60. lol. FYI did you comprehend that when Kelly confirmed up for her first day at artwork, there replaced right into a customer who replaced into psychic. besides, the customer introduced to Kelly, "I see you're with toddler." poor Kelly had no longer advised the boss approximately her being pregnant. i think of Kelly and Regis are a large pair. only approximately as sturdy as George and Gracie!

I am completely with ol' TWOBOB on this answer.
God willing I will make it that far.
Slightly different than it is today.
The great medical advances will continue.
The great technological advances will advance.
The world may get warmer partly our fault. But it's done that before.
People still continue write for people to continue to read.
Tree's get hugged. Politicians pontificate, pockets feathered.
