I had an hcg shot to help release my eggs. How long do I have to wait to take a pregnancy test? I am 10 dpo.

I'd wait 4 more days.

I am also 10 dpo after an hcg trigger shot. Did you do the trigger shot on November 1st? If so, it has been 12 days since the shot and it has most likely cleared from your system. It usually takes up to 10 days so I think you're safe. My doctor has me wait until 12 dpo to test so that's what I'm going to do, although this waiting is driving me crazy. I have cramps too which makes me thing AF is coming. I really hope not. Let us know if you get a positive test so that it'll give me and others some hope!! Good luck!!!

The hcg from injections left my system in 9 days, but you should wait atleast 14 dpo to test. My nurse actually suggested 16 for me, because I was on Clomid and hcg and that could trigger your period 2 days early or 2 days late.

Good Luck!

Pregnancy tests can pick up a positive as early as 10 dpo....but they are only 60% accurate at that point. So you could go ahead and take one now. If it comes back negative, take another one at 14 dpo (which is 98% accurate) to be sure.

PS- If you get a positive today, then you are pregnant. There are no false positives!

I would say test Sunday for an accurate result.
