How could the engine be shot already. If the car is that new it should be still under warranty. Check your owner's manual for length of warranty & what it covers. I would let Ford put a new engine in it & make THEM pay.

If it's financed, you can't take the insurance off, it's required for the loan. What is the problem with it? What will the cost be to fix it? Not enough information to make other than general suggestions.

ARE YOU PAST THE WARRANTY MILEAGE, IF NOT LET THE DEALER FIX IT.

AS FOR THE $2500.00 I WOULD FIRST LOOK AROUND BECAUSE THAT IS A LITTLE STEEP FOR A USED ENGINE.

GOOD LUCK
