Winston Churchill. Not only the most eloquent world leader in history, but also the funniest. His one-liners are the thing of legend. This is a man that almost single-handly willed an entire nation to fight against tyranny in the most desperate hour.

Besides, he would be fun to drink with.

If I was picking someone because I trusted him to win, I'd go for Wellington - practical, and understood the value of good intelligence.

If I was picking someone because I wanted to find out more about what he was really like, I'd go for Julius Caesar, or Alexander.

Difficult question. I would possibly say General Alexander (not the great, but English General in WW2), or Haig from World War 1.

I would be happy to follow Ulysses S. Grant from his early days capturing Fort Henry and Fort Donelson, to his last campaign which saw Lee surrender his Army of Northern Virginia at Appomattox.

I have seen a lot of southerners still slandering his name, calling him "a drunk" - I would like to see if this was true or false. Whether or not he was drinking to excess - he still planned and conducted the campaigns that won battle after battle for the Union armies.

I would follow Joshua from the bible. He is the greatest military leader of all time. He never questioned God, he followed orders, and never suffered a defeat. He is the greatest example of military leadership and courage.
